Coming soon – new look eBay.au pages
2010-03-19 17:08:36
Starting next week you may notice a few changes to the look of some of the most commonly viewed eBay features and pages.
We want to help make sure you don't mistake the new look pages for spoof pages so we’ve provided an example below of the new look:

We believe the new look is cleaner, sharper and more inviting and hope you do too.
There are a few small functional changes you might be interested in as well. For example, on eBay.com.au you’ll notice the top right navigation tabs have been re-ordered and the CATEGORIES tab in the main header (as shown above) will expand when the arrow is clicked rather than when hovered over.
We’re also introducing some design enhancements to the dynamic category pages – these are pages you arrive at when you click on a headline category from the CATEGORIES tab in the header shown above. These pages are more visual, include popular searches, personalised recommendations and showcase the range of popular products available on eBay.
If you ever have any concerns about whether you are on an eBay page, here are a few tips:
- Close your web browser. Open a new browser and type in www.ebay.com.au - then sign in.
- Download the eBay Toolbar featuring Account Guard. It's free to download and helps make sure you are on a legitimate eBay site. The Account Guard turns green if you are on a legitimate eBay website and red when you need to exercise caution.
