[DE] Important changes to the cancellation and return policy

Changes to cancellation and return will come in to force from Friday, June 11, 2010.The entry into force of this new policy are subject to business sellers on eBay in principle the same legal framework as that for conventional online stores.
For you it means:
- An adjustment of your cancellation or return policy is strongly recommended. You should adjust your cancellation or return policy, as all current references to the provisions in BGB Information Regulation (BGB-InfoV) is no longer valid from June 11, 2010.
- The legislature primarily offers Warning Sample Instructions. You can also download it from eBay Policy page.
Return policy from July 2010 informed after purchase through Email
eBay will support sellers in the implementation of the amended policy. From July 2010, the cancellation and return notification displayed both in My eBay and return conditions under sales form will automatically send emails to buyers immediately after purchase. Sellers can use their own notification systems or eBay Selling Manager Pro, as well as the third party Seller Tools to cooperate this process.
To deploy your cancelation or return policy in "My eBay":
- Go to “My eBay”
- Click on Account Settings.
- In "Settings for business seller" under "Seller information display in item page" input your cancellation or return policy. It will be displayed on the item page after implementation and automatically appears in the Email from July 2010.
- Note: Active listings can not be automatically integrated with updated policy. Therefore, you should revise or terminate this.

For you it means:
- Since June 11, 2010, eBay marketplace sellers have to offer 14-day cancellation or return guarantee. Therefore, immediately after purchase, seller must inform buyer about the revocation policy in written (via Email).
- Instead of the cancellation, seller now should legally offer a right of return.- An adjustment of your cancellation or return policy is strongly recommended. You should adjust your cancellation or return policy, as all current references to the provisions in BGB Information Regulation (BGB-InfoV) is no longer valid from June 11, 2010.
